The use of industrial and discarded materials creates a challenge to the process of design. I take great pride in reusing materials that have been discarded by others in my objects, not only because by doing it I combat the habits of waste in a consumer world, but because it underpins my creativity in the process of crafting high-quality pieces from what was once considered trash. I appreciate the history, the multiple lives, and the hard work that these materials bring to new objects.
