Most of my designs bring together three main characteristics that I consider very important in the process of crafting objects: the original material must be visible, highlighting its natural beauty somewhere on its surface; functionality is equally important than beauty; and finally, a mechanical feature is incorporated to optimize the objects' versatility.

"One of the defining elements of furniture design is that it is place-making—just as a table draws people around it or a chair invite sitting, Carlos is craving out, in various woods and finishing, a combination of functionality and geometry which draws together his own South and North America. Following the modern tradition of graphic and furniture design in Venezuela, Carlos combine the utilitarian qualities of use and practicality with playful geometric compositions".
